I’m Megan. A wife and mama of two in east Tennessee. We live, in my opinion, in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Having a small house on a dead end road surrounded by family and friends is a blessing and adventure with some of the crazy things my kids manage to get in to. I am considered the community crazy lady that can be found in the road barefoot calling for my kids and dog at all hours of the day or night. We spend our summers playing in the backyard munching on cucumbers straight from our garden. Fall is for fun school events and huge leaf piles from our oak trees. Winter is a lot of early bedtimes, living for Christmas break (I also teach Kindergarten), and lots of semi-homemade treats. I’m loving learning about sourdough, but we can also down some tollhouse cookie dough real quick! Spring is when we really start to come alive with planning trips and planting. You never know what random topic you might find here in this blog in the posts to come! It could be anything from my latest canning endeavor to my endless attempts to tackle the tornado that is my kitchen, or simply sharing everyday moments. I am just so glad you are here and would love to hear from you in the comments. Share your experiences, questions, or ideas. Or just say hi! We keep it real simple.
